Shaun Leane has won ‘Jewellery designer of the year’ for the second year running and for the fourth time in his career as a designer. He traditionally trained as a goldsmith in London’s Hatton Garden before meeting Alexander McQueen and breaking into the fashion industry. Their collaborations which included metal corsets, chain mail tops, oversized tribal earrings and pieces that were worn in the mouth took the catwalk by storm and Shaun quickly became a pioneer for the rise of “haute couture” jewellery. Hugely influential in both the fashion and jewellery world his darkly romantic style is often described as “macabre” because of the juxtaposition of beauty, elegance and love with more menacing and darker undertones.

In 1999 he started his own jewellery company combining beautiful craftsmanship and traditional design with his passion for fashion. A complete romantic, every jewellery collection tells a story, that makes every piece utterly irresistable. Please go to his website to see his collections.

Thank you to Shaun Leane and Swaovaski for these great images.
